Thank You Inspire!Denver

The Kelly Brush Foundation hosted Inspire!Denver on Thursday, January 25th. It was a great party bringing together long-time supporters, committed partners and sponsors, Active Fund grant recipients, and a lot of new folks getting to know Kelly and the Kelly Brush Foundation. In all, over 270 people got together for an evening of live bluegrass music, delicious food and drinks, and an inspiring talk from the one-and-only Kelly Brush. Everyone stepped up to raise over $75,000 to go towards the KBF’s spring 2018 Active Fund grant cycle to help people with spinal cord injuries buy adaptive sports equipment, and the summer 2018 Ski Racing Safety grant program.

One highlight of the night was the virtual handcycle experience. There were a few handcycles hooked up to trainers and a virtual riding app called Zwift, which measures speed and power output and projects it in a virtual cycling environment. We had many willing participants and some friendly competition as people hopped on the bikes and tried to beat their friends. Not to mention the hallway races in the adaptive sports equipment provided by our partners at Craig Hospital.

We want to give a huge thanks to all of our amazing supporters, your donations are going to directly impact people’s lives for the better. To all of our awesome grant recipients who came to Inspire!Denver—thank you for being open and available for questions and for being willing to share your story. We had a great time and can’t wait to be back in Denver again next year!
