Help Us Spread The Word
The Kelly Brush Foundation is conducting a research study to better understand the key drivers and barriers for people with disabilities to become active.
The research will ask people with acquired physical disabilities, how do various factors interact to influence readiness for participation in adaptive sports and recreation?
We hope to learn:
- How can we best reach individuals at times when they’re appropriately ready to return to recreation?
- What are the indicators of readiness?
- What is the best way to facilitate introduction to recreation equipment at the moment of readiness?
- What supports do we need to provide?
- What barriers do we need to dismantle?
- Where along the continuum of care can people be meaningfully connected to adaptive recreation opportunities?
We are looking for support in getting the word out about the survey so this data will best reflect our community’s unique stories and histories. A diverse set of responses from people across the country with a range of diagnoses will bring statistical significance to this work.
